Born in Athens, Greece, George moved to Germany in the 60's to work in the family hospitality business and attend culinary school. After graduation he gained extensive experience in the French and world renowned Alsace kitchens.
George’s career has spanned the globe and his experience has included all aspects of hotel and catering from hotel management in Greece in the 70’s, to Boston’s 57 Park Plaza in the 80’s, to Boston’s upscale Regal Bostonian in the 90’s. In 2001 George purchased the Highland Luncheonette in Fall River.
Shortly thereafter Exclusive Buffet Catering was created which has allowed George the opportunity to showcase his culinary expertise and attention to detail. Since its inception, Exclusive Buffet Catering has catered many events ranging from corporate gatherings and weddings of 500 to smaller intimate house parties. George is especially appreciative of the opportunity to share his expert knowledge and bring his hotel on wheels to the New England south shore.
Over the past 15 years, George has owned and operated several businesses in the area in addition to operating corporate cafeterias. His current businesses include the Highland Luncheonette, Exclusive Buffet Catering and Prima Café in the Prima Care Medical Building, 277 Pleasant St. which is also open to the public.
